I was born and raised in Southern California, and attended undergraduate studies at the University of Utah majoring in Medical Biology. I graduated Cum Laude and with honors from Los Angeles Chiropractic College in Whittier California. My wife, and three sons help me lead an active lifestyle, and many of my hobbies include; water and snow skiing, wakeboarding/wake surfing, weight lifting, basketball, soccer, and motorcycle riding, all of which are accomplished in the great state of Utah.
I love to learn about the newest and most modern techniques used in chiropractic & sports injuries to provide and perform the technique(s) based on each individual’s needs. I am an Ironman Provider, certified in Active Release Techniques (ART), Class IV K-Laser, and Kinesiology Taping (KT-Tape).
My goal is to treat each individual with the best care. I believe that it’s important to take a “Patient Centered Approach” which focuses on the patients needs. I provide care to athletes, infants, children, and adults.
Dr. Jacob A. Luce, D.C.

ART, or Active Release Techniques, is a massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

Our approach works to heal damaged ligaments of the neck and spine without surgery.

K-Laser Therapy accelerates wound healing and decreases inflammation, pain, and scar tissue formation.

Gives support and stability to your joints and muscles without affecting circulation and range of motion.
If you are dealing with chronic back, knee, shoulder or neck pain and are looking for a non-surgical treatment alternative or recovering from an automobile or work related injury we can customize care for you.
(801) 254-1811We treat back and neck pain, sports injuries, auto accident injuries, whiplash, headaches, rotator cuff injuries, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and most other musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Luce works with both fresh injuries and pain you've been carrying for years — if you're not sure your issue fits, just ask. Someone here can tell you in one phone call.
No referral needed. Chiropractors are primary healthcare providers, so you can book directly with our South Jordan office. If your care ever needs to involve your physician or a specialist, we'll coordinate with them — you won't have to play messenger between offices.
Visits are by appointment, which is exactly why patients choose us over walk-in chains: you get a scheduled block of the doctor's full attention, not whoever happens to be free. Booking online takes about a minute, and auto accident cases receive a free consultation.
Plan on 45–60 minutes for your first visit — that covers your history, a real examination, and treatment on the same day. Follow-ups run 15–30 minutes depending on what your plan includes. We keep the schedule honest, so you're not sitting in a waiting room burning your lunch break.
Yes — we see patients of all ages, from kids in youth sports to grandparents who want to stay active. Families around South Jordan often book back-to-back visits so everyone's seen in one trip. Care is always adjusted to the patient's age, size, and comfort level.
Same doctor, every visit, since 2009. Dr. Luce builds long-term correction plans instead of one-size-fits-all adjustments, and he pairs chiropractic with sports-care techniques — Active Release Technique, dry needling, K-Laser — that most chains simply don't offer. You're treated by the person who actually knows your history.
Adjustments are very safe when performed by a licensed chiropractor, and most patients find them comfortable, even relaxing. The popping sound is just gas releasing from the joint space — the same thing that happens when you crack your knuckles. Any mild soreness afterward typically fades within a day or two.
Dry needling targets specific muscle trigger points — the knots driving your pain — to restore normal muscle function, while acupuncture follows traditional meridian lines for energy flow. You may feel a brief twitch at the trigger point; most patients notice relief within one or two sessions.
K-Laser is an FDA-cleared Class IV laser that accelerates your body's own tissue repair at the cellular level. It's non-invasive, there's no downtime, and it penetrates deeper than lower-class lasers — a typical session takes just 5–10 minutes, often added right onto your regular visit.
Active Release Technique (ART) is a hands-on method that breaks up scar tissue and adhesions in muscles, tendons, and fascia — the stuff that keeps injuries lingering. It's trusted by professional sports teams across the NFL, NHL, and NBA, and Dr. Luce is among the few certified ART providers in Utah.
Yes — our massage services can be booked on their own, with eleven different modalities available. The difference from a spa: our therapists work under clinical supervision and treat specific conditions, not just tension. It's massage with a treatment goal, though it still feels every bit as good.
Many patients notice improvement within their first few visits. Recent injuries usually respond faster than problems you've had for years, so the honest answer depends on your condition. Dr. Luce maps out a realistic timeline at your first appointment — you'll know what to expect before you commit to anything.
Yes. Whiplash symptoms often don't appear until hours — or even weeks — after a collision, and an early evaluation is the best way to prevent a minor injury from becoming a chronic one. We offer free consultations for auto accident cases and handle the documentation your claim needs.
We accept most major insurance plans and work directly with your insurer to maximize your benefits. No insurance? We offer straightforward cash rates and payment plans. Call **(801) 254-1811** and we'll verify your specific coverage before your first visit, so there are no surprises at the front desk.
