KIDS DAY

Prevention of scoliosis, arthritis and degenerative conditions is most effective when healthy patterns and behaviors are started in childhood. Common early childhood behaviors contributing to these conditions include sleeping in a car seat, falls from a bed, crib or changing table, premature use of jumpers and walkers, and seemingly insignificant motor vehicle collisions. Children are susceptible to trauma in their spines from various activities and events. These micro traumas can disrupt appropriate function of the vertebrae in the spine, placing pressure on spinal nerves and therefore decreasing their bodies' ability to function normally. Subtle trauma throughout childhood will affect the future development of the spine leading to impaired nervous system function. Our treatments focus on freeing the appropriate function of the nervous system and stimulating healthy function of the immune system, thereby providing better function and physiological health. Although symptoms, such as pain and malfunction may not show up for years, injury to their vital nervous system can have a lifetime of damaging effects. Regular exams can restore function of the joints, improve vital immune function and relieve pain.

Many parents seek our care for their children for trauma from an injury or for care of a particular symptom or condition (colic, ear infections, asthma, allergies, headaches, etc.) It is important to understand that our doctor does not seek to merely manage conditions or diseases, but rather to bring all the bodies’ natural systems to balance, thereby freeing the body of disease. The expertise of our doctor is in checking the child’s spine for misalignments, determining a disruption in organ systems energetic communication and in identifying excesses or deficiencies in the body.

The doctor will take a case history and perform an exam to determine if your child is an appropriate candidate for our care. The care that is prescribed is specifically tailored to the unique qualities of each patient. Our methods are both gentle and specific to the child’s developing structures.
